How to use ViceTracker, the GTA 6 100% tracker

Everything you need to know to track your progress, filter lists, back up your save and move it to another device.

Published November 6, 2026 · 2 min read

ViceTracker is a checklist built to sit on your phone or a second screen while you play. Its goal is simple: to always show you what's left before you hit 100%, without notebooks or spreadsheets. This guide shows you how to get the most out of it in five minutes.

1. Pick a category

In the tracker you'll find every completion category: collectibles, side missions, achievements and more. Each card shows how many items it has and your percentage. At the very top you'll see your total progress across all categories.

For example, Hidden packages or Side missions show that category's full list with its own progress bar.

Until the game is out, the lists contain example data so you can try the site. Real data will be available from November 19, launch day.

2. Check off what you get

Inside each category, every item has a checkbox. Tap it to mark the item as collected; tap it again if you made a mistake. There's no save button: everything is saved automatically in your browser, instantly.

Items tagged Missable can be lost forever if you progress the story. They're the first ones worth reviewing before any major mission.

3. Search and filter

When a list gets long, filters save you a lot of time:

  • Search: type part of the name, description or zone. Case and accents don't matter.
  • Zone: show only items in one area of the map. Handy for clearing a whole area before moving on.
  • Status: choose all, missing only or collected only. "Missing" is the filter you'll use most.
  • Missables only: show just the things you can't leave for later.

4. Back up your progress

Your progress lives in your browser's local storage. That has upsides (no account needed and nobody else sees your data) but also a risk: if you clear your browsing data or switch browsers, it's gone.

To avoid that, open My progress and press Download file. You'll get a JSON file with everything you've checked. Keep it somewhere safe and, if you ever need it, use Import progress to restore it.

5. Move your save to another device

The same file lets you switch devices: export on your computer, send yourself the file and import it on your phone. Keep in mind that importing replaces any progress already in that browser. We'll add optional accounts for automatic syncing later on.

Quick tips

  • Add the site to your phone's home screen to open it like an app.
  • Combine the zone filter with "Missing" to plan collection routes.
  • Export a backup after every long session.
  • Spotted a mistake in the data? Let us know via the contact page.
