Cookie policy

What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) are small files or pieces of data a website stores on your device. They make the site work, remember your preferences or, with your permission, measure visits and show ads.

Cookies and storage we use

Technical (necessary)

These are essential for the site to work and don't require your consent:

  • vicetracker-progress (local storage, first-party): stores the list of items you've checked and the last modification date. Kept until you delete it.
  • vicetracker-consent (local storage, first-party): remembers your cookie choice. Kept until you delete it.
  • NEXT_LOCALE (cookie, first-party): remembers the language you chose. Deleted when you close your browser.

Analytics and advertising (optional)

We currently don't use analytics or advertising cookies. If we enable Google AdSense or a similar tool in the future, its cookies will only be set if you accept them in the banner, and we'll list here which ones they are, who manages them and how long they last.

How to manage your consent

You can accept, reject or customize optional cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. To change your mind at any time, use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

You can also block or delete cookies and site data from your browser settings. Note that clearing local storage will also delete your progress: export a backup first.
